Richmond Heritage Guides organise a range of guided walks from June to November each year.
Guided walks are a great way to discover some of the Thames-side villages in the Borough in the company of a knowledgeable and local guide.
As well as our usual walks around Richmond, Twickenham and Kew, we will also explore Barnes, Teddington and Hampton.
In addition we have three themed walks. In June we begin with a river walk from Richmond Lock to Ham House – an enjoyable saunter along the towpath before lunch. Then in September we explore Richmond’s interesting collection of almhouses, and finally in November why not join us on our Literary Walk. Discover where Virginia Woolf, George Eliot and other famous authors lived. We even discuss a Canterbury Tale on this cultural stroll!
We take you down little known lanes, off the beaten track, and help you discover the Borough’s forgotten past. Whether you are a resident or visitor, we bring alive the history of the wonderful Borough of Richmond upon Thames that you perhaps never knew existed, and share little-known anecdotes on people and places.
Richmond is only 20 minutes by train from Waterloo. No need to book, just turn up and pay the guide on the day – what could be easier!
